Dear Kildeer Families,
This past week I was able to bring my daughter to the Consortium Art Fest. I told her it was an "art party" and she was even treated with a cup of lemonade and cookie. I loved to see her eyes light up when she saw a clay unicorn and the colorful paintings. Community events are something I love to attend. In particular, I enjoyed that evening because I was able to get some "mommy-daughter" time, as well as show my support for the outstanding talent of Kildeer students. This naturally had me thinking about all of the many talents and qualities that make each Kildeer Cougar unique. Would you be willing to take a moment and let me know about your child? Click HERE to share! I can't wait to learn more! Also, thank you to Mrs. Norman for making that night possible. We are very lucky to have you at Kildeer!
I ended my week on a great note, too. I was able to work alongside two very special Assistant Principals, compliments of the Bingo Blast winners! We had a very busy morning of starting the day with announcements, visiting classrooms and leaving nice notes, as well as making some important phone calls. I appreciated every moment of this time today!

Summer Reading for Student Growth
Having students continue to read during the summer when school is not in session is extremely important to their academic growth and to prevent them from losing academic progress.
Because our goal is to have our students continue to read for pleasure, we offer grade-level-specific book suggestion lists of various genres to appeal to a variety of interests.
Also, grade levels have assigned specific activities as well as a student interest inventory to complete and return at the beginning of the school year.
Please CLICK HERE to find your student's parent letter (including required grade-level activity), book suggestions, and reader interest inventory, listed by 2018-2019 grade level.
Questions? Please contact the school office.
