BOOK FAIR IS NEXT WEEK ~ WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held September 26 to 28.  Students will have the opportunity to preview the Book Fair during school and then may return to shop.  Please review some important Book Fair information below:

Set up Your e-Wallet Today!

Avoid sending cash or checks to school:  The best way for students to shop the Book Fair is with an e-Wallet.  By setting up an e-Wallet, you don’t need to send cash to school and your student(s) can use money loaded on their account to shop the fair.  Set up your e-wallet today at http://linktr.ee/ivyhallpto.

Change Wars Ends September 26

Change Wars benefits All For Books and is a classroom competition to raise money to purchase books for our entire school.  Bring your change and paper bills to school on Tuesday, September 26.  Collection boxes will be located in each classroom.                                Ivy Hall Change Wars ~ September 2023

Funds are used to:

  • Add new books to the school library
  • Help teachers build and refresh classroom libraries

Money raised during Change Wars will be split amongst all classrooms.  Students from the classroom that collects the most change will each win a free book from the Book Vending Machine, plus the classroom teacher will receive $50 to spend at the Book Fair. The second- and third-place classrooms will each receive one book of the teacher's choice from the Book Fair.

Family Ice Cream Social on September 28

All families are welcome to attend our Ice Cream Social on from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 28, when they can also shop the Book Fair.     Ivy Hall Book Fair and Ice Cream Social: September 2023

All Ivy Hall students will receive a sticker which can be redeemed for one free ice cream novelty!  Additional ice cream novelties and bottled water can be purchased for $2 each.  Cash only please: Exact change is appreciated.

Wanted: A Few More Volunteers

We have a few more volunteer shifts open for Book Fair.  Come help students find and select titles and keep the flow of the book fair moving smoothly!  Sign up at http://linktr.ee/ivyhallpto.

Your Support Goes A Long Way

All purchases at the Book Fair support Ivy Hall PTO’s commitment to our educational community.  Proceeds from the Book Fair enable our library and classrooms to receive new books for all students to enjoy.  Additionally, Ivy Hall PTO provides a book to each student for his or her birthday, made possible by a token each receives to use at the Book Vending Machine.  Preview the Book Fair and shop online at http://linktr.ee/ivyhallpto.

Does your Wildcat have a knack for losing his or her belongings?

Pick up some durable name labels and support Ivy Hall PTO.  Mabel’s Labels has a label for all ages, and they stick to most common surfaces (and survive the dishwasher and washer/dryer).
