EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BOOK FAIR!

Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held September 26-28.  Students will have the opportunity to preview the Book Fair during school and then may return to shop.  Please review some important Book Fair information below:

Set up Your e-Wallet Today!

The best way for students to shop the Book Fair is with an e-Wallet.  By setting up an e-Wallet, you don’t need to send cash to school and your student can use loaded money on their account to shop the fair.  Setup your e-wallet today at http://linktr.ee/ivyhallpto.

Change Wars: September 18 to 26

Bring your loose change and bills ~ It's time for Ivy Hall PTO's Change Wars!  Change Wars benefits All For Books and is a classroom competition to raise money to purchase books for our entire school.  Bring your change and paper bills to school from September 18 to 26.  Collection boxes will be located in each classroom.                                Ivy Hall Change Wars ~ September 2023

Funds are used to:

  • Add new books to the school library
  • Help teachers build and refresh classroom libraries

Money raised during Change Wars will be split amongst all classrooms.  Students from the classroom that collects the most change will each win a free book from the Book Vending Machine, plus the classroom teacher will receive $50 to spend at the Book Fair. The second- and third-place classrooms will each receive one book of the teacher's choice from the Book Fair.

In addition, Ivy Hall PTO provides a book to each student for his or her birthday, made possible by a token each receives to visit our Book Vending Machine.  Preview the Book Fair and shop online at http://linktr.ee/ivyhallpto.

Halloween Party Volunteers Wanted

There are 3 class parties each school year: Halloween, Winter and Valentine’s Day.

In an effort to include more families in our class parties, Ivy Hall PTO has redesigned the concept of room parents and party volunteers.  Each class party will have four unique volunteers: One Party Planner and three Volunteers.  The Party Planner will work with the Volunteers to plan the party together, but the Party Planner will act as the point of contact for this party with PTO and the classroom teacher.                         Ivy Hall PTO Halloween Party Sign-up ~ Blog: September 8, 2023

Students love when their parents are part of their class celebrations. We ask that each family signs up for only one party per year, so that more children are able to have their parents participate. Once you have volunteered for a party, you can add your name to the waitlist for the classroom and will be notified if space is available.

We are here to help you along the way!  We can help you develop games, crafts and other age-appropriate classroom activities, in consultation with your classroom teacher.
