Volunteers Wanted
Families, volunteers are needed for Halloween Party, Frozen Treat Friday, Special Lunch, PTO Board and Committees. Sign-up opens this Saturday at 9 a.m.
Halloween Party
There are three class parties each school year: Halloween, Winter and Valentine’s Day.
In an effort to include more families in our class parties, Ivy Hall PTO has redesigned the concept of room parents and party volunteers. Each class party will have four unique volunteers: one Party Planner and three Volunteers. The Party Planner will work with the Volunteers to plan the party together, but the Party Planner will act as the point of contact for this party with PTO and the classroom teacher.
Students love when their parents are part of their class celebrations. We ask that each family signs up for only one party per year, so that more children are able to have their parents participate. Once you have volunteered for a party, you can add your name to the waitlist for the classroom and will be notified if space is available.
We are here to help you along the way! We can help you develop games, crafts and other age-appropriate classroom activities, in consultation with your classroom teacher.
We will be posting for volunteers for the Winter Party and Valentines Day Party about six to eight weeks ahead.

Special Lunch and Frozen Treat Friday
We are looking for parent volunteers to help at Frozen Treat Friday and Special Lunch. A description of each volunteer position, including time commitment, can be found on each sign-up form. We ask that you only sign up for one lunch time volunteer slot (either Frozen Treat Friday or Special Lunch). You may add your name to the waitlist in case we have openings.
All volunteers must be a member of Ivy Hall PTO. If you are a member of Ivy Hall PTO, you will automatically have access to the volunteer forms. If you are not yet a member, you can join by filling out a form to pay your Ivy Hall PTO dues. Once dues are paid, the form will automatically appear for you. Join Ivy Hall PTO Board or a Committee
Ivy Hall is accepting applications for the following positions:
- Recording Secretary: Responsible for taking monthly meeting minutes and submitting the weekly blog.
- Book Fair Committee: Work with volunteers and assist with the operation of Fall (September 26 to 28) and Spring (March 5 to 7) Book Fairs. Each Fair has an evening event responsibility on the final day of the fair.
- Willy Wildcat’s Chocolate Factory/Family Halloween Event Committee: Be part of the planning committee for an exciting family Halloween-themed event for the Ivy Hall community on October 27.
- NEW! World Wide Wildcats/Ivy Hall Family Cultural Event Committee: Be part of the planning committee for a new Ivy Hall event (on December 1) highlighting the many cultures represented here.
- Pizza Bingo and Silent Auction Committee: Be part of the planning committee for our annual Pizza Bingo Night, which includes coordinating the Silent Auction on March 7.

Frozen Treat Friday: Purchase by August 28 
Frozen Treat Friday (formerly Ice Cream Wednesday) is one of the children's favorite programs. The PTO distributes ice cream novelties at lunch every Friday to those who have pre-ordered a Frozen Treat Friday card. Cash will not be accepted on-site.
Each card is valid for Ice Cream Novelties throughout the fall term (September to December). Hershey's Ice Cream Smart Snacks meet school nutrition guidelines. Dairy-free and gluten-free options are always available. Purchase an Ice Cream Wednesday card by August 28 at http://linktr.ee/ivyhallpto.
Special Lunch Orders Due September 13
Once a month, Ivy Hall PTO works with Papa John’s to bring in a special pizza lunch. Lunches must be pre-purchased. All meals include an entree, two sides items and bottle of water. Cash will not be accepted on-site.

Book Fair and Ice Cream Social: Set Up e-Wallet
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair will be held September 26 to 28. The best way for students to shop the Book Fair is with an e-Wallet. By setting up an e-Wallet, you don’t need to send cash to school, and students can use loaded money on their account to shop the fair. Setup your e-wallet starting September 4 and browse the online Book Fair at http://linktr.ee/ivyhallpto.
All families are welcome to attend our Ice Cream Social from 6 to 8 p.m. September 28 and shop the Book Fair. All Ivy Hall students will receive a sticker, which can be redeemed for one free ice cream novelty! Additional ice cream novelties can be purchased for $2 each. Cash-only please: Exact change is appreciated.
