Don't Cook the First Day of School
Don’t make lunch or dinner on the first day of school!
Celebrate a half day of school ~ and the first day of school ~ by taking a break from cooking lunch or dinner or simply enjoying a cold custard treat.
Head over to Culver’s, at 450 McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove, on Thursday, August 17: Be sure to mention Ivy Hall PTO and Culver’s will donate 25 percent of sales.
Culver’s is open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., so you can eat early or late.
Save The Date: Book Fair and Ice Cream Social
We can’t wait to kick off the year with two Wildcat favorite events: Book Fair and Ice Cream Social.
Book Fair will run from Tuesday, September 26 to Thursday, September 28. All families are welcome to attend our Ice Cream Social from 6 to 8 p.m. September 28 and shop the Book Fair. All Wildcat students will receive a free ice cream novelty.

Did you know that some of the items on the D96 Approved Snack List qualify for the Box Tops For Education program and can earn cash for Ivy Hall PTO?
Check out the updated snack list at www.kcsd96.org and then earn money for Ivy Hall PTO by grocery shopping. Qualifying Approved Snack products include: Annie’s Fruit Snacks, Cheerios, Chex, Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, Fruit By The Foot, Fruit Gushers, Fruit Roll Ups and Mott’s Fruit Snacks.

Exciting Changes to Special Lunch and Ice Cream Day
SPECIAL LUNCH: As we have seen across the food industry over the last few years, vendor price increases and ingredient changes have impacted the PTO's ability to offer certain nutritionally compliant meals at a price point that is reasonable to families. We are continuing to work with our vendors to find additional meal options for the students. For the first half of the year, we continue to offer a student favorite Special Lunch: Papa Johns! All meals will be served with two sides and a bottle of water. Special Lunch will be held on Wednesdays, once per month.
ICE CREAM DAY: Ice Cream Wednesday has always been one of the student’s favorite programs. Each week, Ivy Hall PTO distributes ice cream novelties at lunch to those who have pre-ordered an ice cream card. With the shift of Special Lunch to Wednesday, we had to find a new home for our Ice Cream Day. We’re excited to announce Frozen Treat Fridays! Same yummy treats, on a new day!
