Ivy Hall PTO Blog, Oct. 26, 2018

Tonight is our first Movie Night of the year for our older grades (3, 4, and 5) and we hope to see you there for a showing of Captain Underpants! Entry is just $5 and includes popcorn. Additional drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

DONATIONS NEEDED! Help Us Stock the Wildcat Diner!

Help us treat the Ivy Hall Staff to a delicious "brinner" at the Wildcat Diner on Nov. 19 during Family Educator Conference Night. Beverages, baked goods, toppings, and more are needed to pull dinner together. Sign up today to donate on the Ivy Hall PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT.

Questions? Please contact our Staff Appreciation Chairwoman Colleen Torf.

*REPEAT* Tricks, and Treats, and Parties, Oh My!

Halloween is just around the corner and that means Halloween Classroom Parties are approaching. Please know that our sign-up for classroom party helpers is now closed to allow our Room Parents time to contact volunteers and plan for the party. If you're interested in helping out if there is a last-minute change in volunteer needs, uou may reach out to your Room Parent directly.

If you are volunteering at the Halloween Party, please remember to have your badge scanned at any District 96 school BEFORE the day of the party to ease the check-in process. Your Room Parent will reach out with specific details about your child's classroom party.

Questions? Please contact our VPs at [email protected]

Clip Box Tops for Ivy Hall!

Did you know that Ivy Hall collects Box Tops? We do! Clip your Box Tops and send them to the Ivy Hall Office (bundles of 25 or 50 enclosed in a small plastic bag or envelope would be perfect) for our Box Top Coordinator to collect and redeem. Every little bit helps, so check those boxes before they hit the recycling or garbage bin!

*REPEAT* HELP WANTED! Staff Appreciation Team Needs YOU

Ivy Hall PTO provides the wonderful Staff with several Staff Appreciation events over the course of the year, including staff dinners during conferences and Staff Appreciation Week in the spring. This committee is in desperate need of additional volunteers, particularly parents with a flexible schedule (for example: stay-at-home, work-from-home, or part-time) and a healthy dose of creativity. If this sounds like you, please reach out today to Maria Papageorgiou or Colleen Torf.

*REPEAT* Committees in Need!

Many of our committees have started the school year without a full team. Please consider donating your time to one of the following committees.:

  • Breakfast with Your Buddy
  • Fifth-Grade Spring Fling
  • Girls' Night Out (4th-Grade Parents)
  • Guys' Night Out (4th-Grade & 5th-Grade Parents)
  • Staff Appreciation
  • Variety Show

Please head over to the Ivy Hall PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT today if you'd like to sign up to volunteer at these events. Contact Maria Papageorgiou or one of the committee chairs (contact info on MTK forms) if you'd be willing to get more involved by joining the committee.
