Ivy Hall PTO Blog, May 4, 2018

C'mon out for our last General Membership Meeting of the school year, next Wed., May 9, at 6:30 PM in the Ivy Hall Library! We look forward to seeing some new faces and sharing all the great things Ivy Hall PTO has been up to this year. New Board Members and Committee Chairs for 2018–2019 are strongly encouraged to attend!

ARGH ya Ready to Thank Our Ivy Hall Staff?

Shiver me timbers, Staff Appreciation Week is next week! Help us make Staff Appreciation Week something special!

Two ways to get involved:

  • Have your student fill out one or many notes of appreciation for their favorite "pirates" aboard the fine ship "Ivy Hall"! We can't wait to share these notes of love and appreciation with the "crew" during our week-long celebration! DOWNLOAD THE FORM today, print at home, and return to the Ivy Hall Office.
  • SIGN UP to donate or volunteer during the week. We have a variety of options to choose from. Please note all donations will need to be in the Ivy Hall Office by 9 AM on the day of the celebration.

Plan to Join Us at the Family Picnic!

Ivy Hall's end-of-the-school-year party is NEXT FRIDAY, May 11. Three steps to get in on the fun:

  1.  MARK YOUR CALENDAR: Make sure you've marked your calendar for May 11 from 6–8 PM. We'll have dancing, games, photo booth, snow cones, and more to enjoy!
  2. ORDER YOUR FAMILY PICNIC MEAL DEALS! New this year, we are offering pre-orders from Culver's, including meal deals and treats. Visit MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT to order today.
  3. SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER: Volunteers are welcome for this event – please consider signing up on MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT to volunteer.

Contact Melanie Gurel with any questions.

*We Need YOU for 2018 – 2019!*

We have several 2018–2019 Board and Committee Chair openings and we are inviting all interested parents to express their interest in joining us! Please visit MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT to review the positions available and sign up if you are interested in being considered for these roles. The Nominating Committee is organizing a slate of candidates to be approved at our May 9 Board Meeting, but there still is time to sign up. If you have questions, please contact Maria Papageorgiou or Amy Au for more details.

Only YOU can save an ENDANGERED Committee!

Several committees for 2018–2019 are critically low on volunteers. We may be forced to cancel or scale back events or programs that do not have enough parent support!

Please consider SIGNING UP for these ENDANGERED Committees:

  • Breakfast with your Buddy
  • Cultural Arts (school assemblies)
  • Fifth-Grade Spring Fling
  • School Apparel
  • School Supply Kits
  • Staff Appreciation
