Stock Up Now for 2017-2018! School Supply Ordering Opens Feb 13
We are pleased to announce that we are again offering the convenient services of SchoolKidz, Inc., and their Teacher Tailored® back-to-school supply kits for the 2017-18 school year. Skip the last minute shopping in August and order a supply kit for your child - orders are taken February 13 through April 9! Kits will be ready for pick-up at Meet the Teacher Day in August.
New this year, all orders will be placed through our brand new Membership Toolkit website. This streamlined site will house all PTO volunteer sign-ups and order forms going forward. It's easy to get started - set up your account today!
Nominating Committee Members Needed
The PTO E-Board is currently seeking volunteers to join the Nominating Committee. The purpose of the Nominating Committee is to form a slate for the open positions on the Executive Board and fill any vacancies on PTO Committees for the 2017-2018 school year. Please contact the Nominating Committee Chair, Vanessa Kapoor, to join. The group will meet several times in February and March.
Love is in the air! Valentine's Day Class Parties just around the corner!
Our last classroom party of the school year is scheduled for next Tuesday, February 14 aka Valentine's Day! All classroom volunteers and/or party supply contributors will be contacted by their respective Room Parents with instructions. Please reach out to your Room Parent(s) directly with any questions about the events. Don't forget, all party supplies and snacks must be dropped off to the Ivy Hall office by 9 a.m. on 2/14 (drop off of snacks earlier in the week is much appreciated). Extra Sweet Treat at Ice Cream Wednesday on 2/15
On February 15, Ice Cream Wednesday will feature a special sweet treat for Valentine's Day! Students can purchase a cherry-vanilla swirl ice cream cup for 75 cents while supplies last.

BIG NEWS! Feb 17 is 3/4/5 grade Movie Night featuring the BFG!
It's your turn, third, fourth and fifth graders! Ivy Hall PTO/Student Council Movie Night is coming up next Friday, February 17 at 6 p.m. We've chosen an extra BIG movie, The BFG, so we're extending the fun to 8 p.m. As always, $5 gets you the movie and popcorn; additional snacks, candy and drinks available for purchase. Feb 21 is Cafe Zupas Restaurant Night!
Have you tried Cafe Zupas yet? This new soup, salad and sandwich destination in Wheeling (on Lake Cook near Target) is committed to supporting surrounding communities and will be hosting a dine-in restaurant night for Ivy Hall on February 21 from 5 - 9 p.m. Plan to join us and help Ivy Hall PTO earn up to 25% of sales! Read for Rides with Six Flags® Read to Succeed!
Ivy Hall School is once again participating in an exciting program that encourages students in grades K through 6 to read for fun. Read to Succeed is a free program sponsored by Six Flags. Every student who completes and logs six hours of recreational reading is eligible for a free admission ticket to Six Flags Great America. Reading logs are due by February 24 to your student's teacher. You can download more information and the reading log from Virtual Backpack.
