Thursday, December 21st, 2023

Dear Ivy Hall Families,

I can’t believe winter break is already here! I know it’s cliché, but time does fly.

This morning, students were greeted with a surprise as they received a cat pack t-shirt! It was so nice to hold our December Cat Pack activity with all of our students donning their new Cat Pack Shirt. A special thanks to the PTO for partnering with us to provide these shirts to all of our staff and students.

The school day ended with winter classroom parties. It was great to see smiling faces and engaging activities that students were able to participate in. What a way to end the 2023 calendar year!

As we approach the end of the calendar year, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. I hope this break is filled with laughter, warmth, and cherished moments with loved ones. Whether you're traveling, taking a break, or enjoying the festivities close to home, I hope you have a safe, relaxing winter break.

I look forward to seeing you all again in 2024, ready for another great year! Until then, take care, stay safe, and have a joyful holiday season!

Kindly,

Mike Senatore

The State of Illinois requires identified English Learner (EL) students to annually participate in the ACCESS testing to determine current English language proficiency in Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Our ACCESS testing window will occur from 1/17-2/22. Each school’s testing schedule is unique and will only impact students who take the ACCESS test. Students taking ACCESS do not need to prepare anything ahead of time.
