Friday, November 11th

Happy Veterans Day to all and to those who have served our country, thank you for your service!

I wanted to share that as part of my first year as the principal of Ivy Hall I will be “adopting” a classroom each week. What will this entail for each classroom? Each week I’ll be conducting a classroom visit where I spend time with the students and ask them questions about what makes a great principal. I know they’ll have excellent feedback for me!

In addition to the classroom visit, I’ll also be having lunch with the students on one day of the week and I will be giving them a shoutout on morning announcements. I’ll also try to pop into the classroom during any spare second that I have. I feel that by “adopting” a classroom each week, I’ll be able to connect with each child at Ivy Hall before the school year is complete.

A big shoutout to Mrs. Carlson’s 1st and 2nd grade class! They were my first classroom this past week and I can’t share enough great things about the students and their learning that I saw as an unofficial member of their classroom.

Thank you for reading and have a great weekend,

Mike Senatore

Please remember that no left turns are allowed into our morning dropoff parking lot from Penny Lane. Please approach the parking lot from the south and make a right hand turn.
