October 14th, 2022

Dear Families,

After our first round of successful Family Educator Conferences, our Ivy Hall Wildcats completed an excellent 4-day week of school. A celebration from the week includes the introduction of our new sensory paths in three of our hallways. Ask your child about these!

It’s my great pleasure to walk into classrooms and observe the outstanding teaching and learning that take place at Ivy Hall each day. Whether it’s students working together to find examples of figurative language in a passage or students participating in engaging whole group discussions on the writing process, I always find myself very proud of the efforts of all of our students.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend,

Mike Senatore

Monday, 10/31 ~ Halloween Parade and Parties

REPEAT *Halloween Costumes*

Our Halloween festivities will be here before we know it.  We look forward to students dressing in their Halloween costumes for our Halloween Parade and classroom parties on Monday Oct. 31st.  Please help us with the following costume guidelines.  Students will change into their costumes after their lunch period at school.  Please ensure that your child can get the costume on with no or minimal help.

Costumes must be appropriate for school.  If costumes are not school appropriate the student will be asked to remove their costume.

Please no masks, blood, super scary stuff, general ickiness, or weapons

Please no cigars or cigarette items

Please no bare tummies

Please keep hair coloring and make-up simple

REPEAT *Cooler Weather is Upon Us*

The leaves are providing us a beautiful backdrop during recess.  Please make sure that your child has the appropriate clothes as the temperature drops.  Dressing in layers is always a good idea.  Please label your child’s items so that if they find their way to the Lost and Found, the item can be returned to your child.
