Ivy Hall Celebrates Diversity February 19, 2018 (New)

On February 19, 2018, Ivy Hall Elementary School, students, and families are planning on organizing a wonderful gathering to celebrate the diversity of our school community. I am attaching a form that will describe the culture and what we are trying to accomplish on the 19th of February. Inside the form it will ask you if your student and/or family are interested in:

  • Sharing your culture for our community. There are various formats.

  • Helping plan the event

  • Serving as a volunteer to help manage a portion of the event, on the night of the event

Please fill out this form if you are interested in any of the above items. The form can be found here.

5 Essentials Survey (New)

District 96 parents are asked to complete online the parent portion of the Illinois 5Essentials Survey by Jan. 18, 2019. Access the survey: https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/

As a parent, this is your opportunity to share your thoughts on important elements of your child’s school’s effectiveness. The survey gathers data related to five indicators that can predict important student outcomes, including improved attendance and larger test score gains.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact 5Essentials Client Services at 1-866-440-1874 or [email protected] or Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning Jeanne Spiller

The Weather Outside is Frightful/Delightful (New)

As a reminder as long as the wind chill is at least 10 degrees our students will go outside for recess.  Please send the proper outdoor wear for them to be warm and enjoy the snow. For students to be able to play in the snow they need to have boots, snow pants, hats, and gloves.  Students who do not have the proper outdoor attire will have to stay on the blacktop.

Parent Pick UP (New)

*** Parents we are looking at ways to improve speed, accountability, and safety at parent pickup. One of the ways you can help us with this is to place a sign on your dashboard indicating the student that you are picking up & keep the sign on the dashboard until you pick your student(s) up. Doing this will really help move things along more quickly.

*** Please be responsible with your cell phone. There are many students and adults at risk to the hazards of distracted driving.
