REMINDER REGARDING PARENT DROP OFF IN THE AM. (NEW)

Please do not drop students off at school (unless going to Clubhouse) before 8:10.  Prior to that time, there is no adult supervision.  If students are getting a breakfast here at school, they will be able to do so at 8:10, not before that time. This is purely for the safety of the students.

 

5TH GRADE SAFETY PATROL (NEW)

 

If you are interested in becoming a part of the 5th Grade Safety Patrol team, please fill out the bottom portion of the flyer and return it to school by Friday, September 14th to Mrs. Dolan or Mrs. Cappelen. There will be a training session for ALL team members on Friday, September 28th at 7:45 am in Mrs. Cappelen’s room. At that point you will receive a schedule and safety patrol duties will begin on October 1st.

STEM CLUB (NEW)

 

Ivy Hall is looking for students that are looking to expand their brains in science, technology, engineering and math. We are looking for students that demonstrate important qualities of an engineer and mathematician.  

 

Your duty to the school as a STEM Club member will be to engage and collaborate with your classmates to explore concepts of science, technology, engineering, and math. This important role requires a positive attitude, growth mindset, and lots of creativity. You MUST have transportation that allows you to be picked up after school at 4:00 PM. Sign up soon! Return permission slip to school by Wednesday, September 12th to Ms. Monica, Ms. Nguyen, or Mrs. Balek. Our first meeting will be on Thursday, September 20th.

AFTER SCHOOL SPORTS (NEW)

 

If your 3rd, 4th, and/or 5th-grade student is interested in After School Sports please fill out and return this participation form to Mr. Pangilinan. All students must turn in a District 96 parent consent form in order to participate. When completed, please turn into Mr. Pangilinan as soon as possible. Sign up soon! Space is limited to 30 students per grade level. Our After School Sports schedule at Ivy Hall is as follows:

 

Monday: 3rd Grade Students

Wednesday: 4th Grade Students

Thursday: 5th Grade Students

 

After School Sports will be from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parents should pick up their students at 4:00 p.m. There is no bus service to take students home. Students should be picked up in the teachers parking lot by the small gym. Students who attend clubhouse will go directly to the cafeteria.

Fun Run - September 14, 2018 (Repeat)

 

The Ivy Hall Fun Run will take place on Friday, September 14, at 9:30 a.m.  The purpose of the Ivy Hall Fun Run is to promote fun and fitness. We will have our pre-run activities outside on the blacktop near the playground, behind the school. Parents are invited to run along with their children or to watch and cheer the students on. Parents who want to participate or watch are required to sign in and receive a visitor badge. There will be a sign in table on the blacktop. The table will be located near the parent pick up entrance door. Please do not enter the building. All visitors are required to sign in and wear their visitor's badge.

 

The fun run will take place on school grounds. Students will have 25 minutes to run or walk briskly for the entirety of the time.  At the end of 25 minutes, students will meet their teacher back on the blacktop and cool down and receive a bottle of water.

 

 ORDER OF EVENTS

    

9:30a.m.   Students will line up in the parent pick up parking lot for warm-up activities

9:40a.m.    Start the run. We will dismiss by class, starting with 5th grade.  

10:05a.m.  The fun run is finished and students meet their teacher on the blacktop in the back of the school. Students will get a water bottle and cool down.

10:15a.m.   Students go back to their classrooms.
