Mon., May 4 – Request due from parents of current Class of 2020 8th graders to transfer or refund positive lunch account balance (See details below)
• Attention Parents of Current 8th Graders:
Does your 8th grader have a positive lunch account balance?
Positive lunch account balances (any amount) may be transferred to a younger sibling enrolled in District 96, Grades 1–8, for the 2020–21 school year.
Make or request your transfer NO LATER THAN Mon., May 4.
To make the transfer online:
Log into your K–12 PAYMENT CENTER account and select “Transfer Funds” on the left side of the website homepage.
OR
To request a transfer if you have not yet established an account:
Send a “Transfer Request” email to Sara LaPoint in the Business Office. Include the following info: Names of BOTH the graduating 8th grader AND the remaining D96 sibling whose account should receive the transferred amount.
Note: All un-transferred positive lunch account balances in excess of $10 will automatically be refunded. A check will be issued on May 27 and will be mailed to the home address included in our database.
• Please don't wait.... Register for the 2020–21 School Year
If you haven't already registered your new or returning District 96 student for the 2020–21 school year, please do so right away. Having an accurate enrollment count is important for anticipating staffing needs appropriately. • Kindergarten 2020–21 Dual Language Opportunity
Dual Language Interest Forms are due from interested parents of 2020-21 incoming kindergartners by 3 PM on May 15.

• Breakfast/Lunch for Students Available for Drive-Up Pick-Up Weekdays
KCSD96, D102, D013, and Stevenson families may pick up breakfast/lunch for their students. Drive-up meal pick-up is BEHIND the Exceptional Learners Collaborative (ELC) building, 990 Corporate Woods Parkway, Vernon Hills, from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. weekdays. Please pull up to the sign and remain in your vehicle. Children do not have to accompany parents to receive meals. Questions? Contact [email protected]
• Food Pantry Donation Opportunity Continues
Community members who are able and choose to do so are invited to bring these specific items to donate: large brown paper grocery bags, pasta sauce (cans or jars), “Helper” meal kits, butter, canned fruit, cereal, and juice boxes. Please deliver to collection boxes outside the ELC front entrance, 990 Corporate Woods Parkway, Vernon Hills, from 8 AM–3 PM. Please observe social distancing when delivering donations.
