Country Meadows Principal's Message - December 16, 2022

Country Meadows Principal's Message - December 16, 2022

Dear Families of Country Meadows,

The people that are typing this are kids! The kids are Principal for a day! The best thing we did today was go outside to supervise recess.  Our second favorite thing we did today was go to Woodlawn to meet with their principals and see the big kids.  We love Country Meadows because it is really fun!

John & Phillip

This week Mrs. Shaver and myself hosted Principal and Assistant Principal for the day!  Our students won this fun opportunity from the Fall Fest.  Highlights from the day included talking with Superintent Sherdian, passing out Paws to classrooms, 5th grade recess supervision, checking in with Woodlawn's office, seeing 8th graders in PE, reflecting on school goals, writing the message for our blogs, and most importantly using the walkie talkies.  I underestimated how much fun we can have with our walkie talkies!

Our fifth graders had a special visit from the Stevenson Science Department!  Thank you Mr. Linnenburger for helping bring science alive!

Each week a different classroom is featured on our morning announcements saying the pledge.  I happened in Mrs. Donegan's room while they were making their video recording.  Students are enjoying seeing their friends and siblings each morning during the announcements!

Finally, our Friday ended with our Cub Communitites coming together to make unique snowflakes together!

We continue our "December to Remember" with the following theme days next week!

  • Monday 12/19 - Winter Sweater Day, Tuesday 12/20 - Wear White with Snow Gear Day, Wednesday 12/21 - Fun Socks Day, Thursday 12/22 - Pajama Day

Kindly,

Michelle Garlick
