Country Meadows Principal's Message - October 21, 2022

Country Meadows Principal's Message - October 21, 2022

This coming week our Country Meadows community will have 2 special opportunities to come together.  We are launching our Cubs Communities!  Cub Communities are an opportunity for classes to partner up and get to know friendly faces in another class.  These buddy classrooms will meet throughout the year and strengthen our connections.  Students can try to find their buddies at the Fall Fest on Thursday night from 5:30pm-7:30pm.  Families are encouraged to visit the PTO website to purchase entry wristbands in advance!

October 27 is FallFest 2022

Kindly,

Michelle Garlick

New *Fire Drill*

On October 24th, Country Meadows and Woodlawn will be conducting a Fire Drill. Students will be evacuating the building during the drill. If the weather does not cooperate, we will reschedule the drill and communicate the rescheduled drill date.

*Upcoming Dates in October*

Tuesday, 10/25 ~ Early Release

Monday, 10/31 ~ Halloween Parade and Parties

New *UPCOMING PTO DATES TO REMEMBER*

Visit our blog for more information on all of the below events!

Fall Festival: October 27

This year’s Fall Festival will be one for the books! Help us plan the best party yet for our kids!  We are looking for volunteers to help on the Fall Festival Committee: You can help by signing up on MTK.

New *Halloween Parade & Class Parties*

On October 31st, all students will have the opportunity to participate in a parade outdoors at 1:30 pm (dependent upon the weather) as well as the classroom party.

Please see some reminders below:

  • The parade may be viewed by families outdoors. If it rains, it will be indoors for students and staff only.
  • The Halloween party in the classroom is only for volunteers already identified via the PTO. At this point, you know if you are a Halloween party volunteer (if so, please no extra siblings)!

Thank you for your help with this and we look forward to the creativity from our students this day!

Repeating *Halloween Costumes*

Our Halloween festivities will be here before we know it.  We look forward to students dressing in their Halloween costumes for our Halloween Parade and classroom parties on Monday Oct. 31st.  Please help us with the following costume guidelines.  Students will change into their costumes prior the the Halloween Parade.  Please ensure that your child can get the costume on with no or minimal help.

Costumes must be appropriate for school.  If costumes are not school appropriate the student will be asked to remove their costume.

  • Please no masks, blood, super scary stuff, general ickiness, or weapons
  • Please no cigars or cigarette items
  • Please no bare tummies
  • Please keep hair coloring and make-up simple (and completed prior to sending your child to school)
