Final Days for Bernie's Book Drive: Through January 31
We're nearing the end of time to donate your unused books to children and families in need! Bernie's Book Drive, hosted by the WG PTO, is going on through Monday, Jan. 31.
You may donate children’s chapter books, picture books, board books and non-fiction. Please refrain from donating books with torn or bent covers, heavy marking, mildew/mold, very yellow pages, cracked bindings and hardcover books with cardboard showing at the covers. We also can not accept religious texts, dictionaries, workbook/activity books, cookbooks, encyclopedias and textbooks.
Students can bring their books to school or parents can drop off to the bin in the vestibule. If you are interested in volunteering to sort the donated books, please contact Emily Pott at [email protected].
Dessert Day: Sign-Up Is Open
If you missed out on signing up for Dessert Day in the past, the form has re-opened on your Membership Toolkit account! The deadline for ordering is 5 p.m. on Feb. 6.
Once a month, kindergarten students have dessert after lunch. Treats include Vanilla Cup, Polar Blast (fruit punch flavored dairy-free option), and Mighty Mini Ice Cream Sandwiches, provided by the Hershey company.
The next Dessert Day is Feb. 18.

PTO Dinner Night: Culver's on February 9
Please save the date ~ Feb. 9 ~ for our next PTO Dinner Night at Culver's in Buffalo Grove, 450 McHenry Road. Note: 25 percent of the proceeds will be donated to Willow Grove! This event will be all day.
