Room Parent Responsibilities:
· Communicate with parents throughout the year to help keep them informed of class events.
· Advise parents of opportunities to help, volunteer, and/or donate.
· Organize the Halloween, Winter Holiday, and Valentine’s Day class parties.

FIRST DESSERT DAY – SEPTEMBER 20!
Once a month your child can enjoy a special ice cream/popsicle treat on Dessert Day for $18 for the entire school year. You can purchase Dessert Day on the Willow Grove PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT. Deadline is Sept. 13.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR & ICE CREAM SOCIAL, Sept. 23–27
The Book Fair is coming up! In addition to book sales, we will also be holding a book drive benefitting Bernie's Book Bank. Bernie's Book Bank sources, processes, and distributes quality new and gently used children's books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers, and school-age children throughout Chicagoland. Our goal is to collect 1,000 gently used children's books this year! On Sept. 26, we will hold our Ice Cream Social during the Book Fair from 6–7:30 p.m. Don't miss it! **Volunteer opportunities are available for the Book Fair.
