Final WG Principal Message 2017/18!

Final WG Principal Message 2017/18!

Thank you for a wonderful year!

TODAY, JUNE 1st - LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - HALF-DAY RELEASE AT 11:45 AM!

It’s hard to believe, but the end of our year is here (and already here for our blended families)! Today will be our final day, which is a half-day release at 11:45 a.m. What a wonderful year it has been. For many of you, this will be the end of your Willow Grove experience. We hope this was a wonderful start to your time in District 96. We sure have loved having your children and you, and you’ll surely be missed. To those of you returning, we’re so thankful to have your continued partnership. Enjoy your summer! We hope to see you around!!

A Farewell Gift For You Is On Its Way!

I'm a little scared to share this because you never know what will happen, and I hope it all works out!! You'll understand when you get it!  Last year we surprised parents with a special farewell picture to celebrate the year at Willow Grove.  It's a special keepsake photo that I email as an attachment and we hope to make it an annual tradition! If all goes well, keep an eye out for that in the next couple of days! I just wouldn't want you to delete it, thinking it was just "junk mail."  We hope you love it!

Fond Farewell and Best Wishes, Officer Paul

Buffalo Grove Police Department School Resource Officer Cliff Paul will be leaving District 96 and moving out of state at the close of this school year. Officer Paul is well known to our students and staff and a familiar friendly face in our school family. We will miss him and we wish him the best! The Buffalo Grove Police Department invites Officer Paul's family and community friends to attend a brief ceremony in his honor on Wed., June 13, at 2 PM. The police department is located at 46 Raupp Boulevard, Buffalo Grove.

Summer Reading for Student Growth

Having students continue to read during the summer when school is not in session is extremely important to their academic growth and to prevent them from losing academic progress.

Because our goal is to have our students continue to read for pleasure, we offer grade-level-specific book suggestion lists of various genres to appeal to a variety of interests.

Also, grade levels have assigned specific activities as well as a student interest inventory to complete and return at the beginning of the school year.

Please CLICK HERE to find your student's parent letter (including required grade-level activity), book suggestions, and reader interest inventory, listed by 2018-2019 grade level.

Questions? Please contact the school office.
