100's Day!
The kids had a great time as we recognized the 100th day of school! We even had some students dress like they were 100 years old, as you can see in this adorable picture. Kindergarten classrooms celebrate this very special day, as it's aligned with one of our kindergarten math learning targets. All year they've been counting the days of school to reach the celebration. Thank you to the many parents who came to support classroom activities.

Valentine's Day
Teachers will share information about Valentine's Day. This is an important note that we do NOT allow candy or food of any kind on valentines. Any food brought in to distribute will be sent home. You are welcome to attach non-disruptive, non-food small trinkets (like eraser, pencils, etc.).
Heart Awareness Month!
We are celebrating Heart Awareness Month in February and would love your support! We're collecting spare change and pop tabs. Send them on in with your student. Thank you!!
Flu Season & Absences
Flu season is spreading within Lake County and KCSD 96. In the event your child is not feeling well, notify the school office of absences including symptoms, if they have a fever, or if they are diagnosed with influenza from a medical provider. Important Reminders - Residency Check for Current Kindergarten Students & Incoming 2018-19 Kindergarten Pre-Registration
Our district weekly E-News has some important information I encourage you to read if you haven't. Current Kindergarten students will need to prove residency again, no later than Friday, February 23rd. We also have kindergarten pre-registration happening NOW! Wednesday, January 17th, from 5-7:00 p.m. is our second and final pre-registration evening. This is for incoming kindergartners for next school year. Please spread the word and let your neighbors with incoming kindy kids know! Free T-Shirts to incoming 2018-19 kindergarteners who register in January! Thank you so much for your help in this effort!
