District 96 Welcomes a New Transportation Partner!

We are pleased to announce that at its May 3rd meeting, the Board of Education approved a contract with Safeway Transportation Services, Corp., to provide transportation services for the 2022-2023 school year!  Safeway Transportation has been serving the Chicagoland area since 1997, having served more than 200 schools, driving over 10 million miles and safely transporting more than 2 million students!  They will serve as the district’s primary transportation provider, with the district maintaining additional contractors to meet the individual needs of some students.

The District 96 transportation department will work with Safeway throughout the summer to design routes and, as in years past, routes and timing will be communicated just before the start of the school year.  We are excited to cultivate this new partnership!  Please watch for additional transportation information mid-June.
