Introducing District 96's Incoming Assistant Principals!

Join Kildeer Countryside School District 96 in welcoming new Assistant Principals to four of our District Schools.  All four were approved by the Board of Education at its meeting Tuesday night.  Please congratulate Julie Shaver as Assistant Principal at Country Meadows; Winifred Clausell as Assistant Principal at Prairie Elementary School; Megan Klein as Assistant Principal at Willow Grove Early Learning Center; and Jessica Groncki as Assistant Principal at Woodlawn Middle School.  They begin their new positions on August 1, 2022.

 

Julie Shaver, the incoming Assistant Principal at Country Meadows, is currently the Literacy Coach at  Willow Grove, where she has worked since 2017.  At Willow Grove, she works as a curriculum and. Country Meadows Assistant Principal Julie Shaver instructional coach in the area of literacy with kindergarteners, early childhood and structured learning teachers and facilitates professional learning for certified staff members in various settings.  She joined the District in August 2010 as a classroom teacher at Country Meadows. 

Julie earned a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University; an M.S. in Literacy Education with a Focus on Bilingual/ESL from Northern Illinois University; and will receive her Master of Arts in School Leadership from Concordia University in Chicago in May. 

 

Winifred Clausell, the next Assistant Principal at Prairie Elementary School, is currently Director of K-8 Literacy and a past Instructional Coach for nearby school districts.  In her current role, she oversees the Prairie Assistant Principal Winifred Clausell establishment of K-8 literacy curriculum that ensures students are prepared for high school and college; she also leads teacher leaders in prioritizing and aligning standards and developing standard-based assessments. 

She earned her B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.S.in Curriculum and Instruction from Illinois State University, Normal; and an M.A. in School Leadership from Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, Ill.

 

 

Megan Klein, the incoming Willow Grove Assistant Principal, is also currently a Literacy Coach in the district.  She has coached teachers one-on-one, at the team and building level to improve literacy Willow Grove Assistant Principal Megan Kleininstruction within the classroom and created District curriculum pacing, rubrics and learning progressions and assessments for literacy and social studies and has supported staff in other best practices. 

She earned a B.A. in Education from Augustana College in Rock Island, Ill.; an Elementary Education Certification from the University of Nebraska Kearney; an M.S. Ed in Literacy Education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb;  and a Principal Preparation from Concordia University in 2021.

 


Jessica Groncki, the incoming Assistant Principal at Woodlawn Middle School, has served as a Literacy Coach in the district since 2019. In that capacity, she specializes in literacy curriculum and Woodlawn Assistant Principal Jessica Groncki instruction, coaching 26 classroom teachers to build capacity and promote student growth.

She earned her B.A. in Elementary Education from Michigan State University; and three Masters of Art, in Teaching and Leadership from St. Xavier University in Chicago; in Literacy with English Language Learners Endorsement from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb; and in Principal Preparation Program from Concordia University.
