Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) Score Reports

Last year, students in third to eighth grade were eligible to take the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). Individual score reports will be mailed out next week for any students who took the assessment.

If you have questions about your child’s IAR report, direct them to his or her teacher; your school principal; or Jason Keenon, Assistant Director of Teaching and Learning, at [email protected].

In Our Schools

Reading Playground at Kildeer:  Mrs. Smith's second-graders had fun learning with the "Reading Playground" program.  This program has research-aligned activities designed to accelerate the acquisition of skills and knowledge necessary to transform unfamiliar words into familiar and instantly recognizable words!

Who Will Move This 'Stone in the Road?'  The Twin Groves cast of “Stone in the Road” took its production on a tour of two D96 elementary schools today ~ Prairie and Ivy Hall.  The very apt cast led the audience in trying to figure out who might possess just the right character to selflessly remove an obnoxious stone from the middle of a road.

Snowflakes for 7th Graders:  This week, District 7th graders participated in Snowflake, an event that brought together the students, high school leaders and adults for a day of sharing, learning, and listening. The goal of the event is to strengthen young people to help them be safe, healthy, make smart choices, and be drug-free. The program strives to facilitate discussion and interaction among students, which leads to valuable decision-making skills and wise handling of peer pressure.

At Twin Groves, this event was organized by Danielle Baker and Michele Koulentes; at Woodlawn, Jacqui Jessogne and Kylie Gember.  (Photos courtesy of Jacqueline Jessogne)
