Translated Here

Did you know the District has access to a multitude of translators and translation services ~ including features on the www.kcsd96.org website ~ that allow for communication in a myriad of languages?

All schools have access to telephonic, in person, and zoom interpreters for spoken communication.

In addition to the Google translate feature on the web, the District has access to interpreters for written communication.

When students register, we ask their preferred language for communication on the Home Language Survey, which is used by the staff.  Additionally, individual staff members ask the families with whom they work directly.  We also collect this information at every conference scheduling opportunity.

Should anyone have any specific communication needs, we are more than happy to oblige.

Contact either a teacher, principal, or the  Parent-Community Liaison, and we can offer what is needed.

Joining Band and Orchestra Next School Year?

Thinking of returning to or joining the Band or Orchestra next year?

Here’s a note from your District music teachers:

“Attention, current band/orchestra families:  It is time to start thinking of your registration for band and orchestra classes next year. Please be on the lookout for information from your student's teacher with specific details on course offerings. Additionally, we ask that you begin the conversation with your student to see what their thoughts are for next year. We understand there is still time to make decisions regarding enrollment, but it is never too early to start the conversation. Please direct any questions you may have to your student's band or orchestra teacher. We hope to continue working with your students next year and to continue their musical progress.”
