We hope your time away from school allowed you and your family to connect in some meaningful ways.

We’ve only been back from break for a week, but so much has transpired!  Stay tuned to Superintendent Messages, your Principal’s Messages AND E-NEWS 96 for important information and updates concerning the next few weeks.

  • January 13:  Kindergarten Pre-Registration Evening (Willow Grove, 5-7 p.m.)
  • January 14:  School Improvement Half Day
    • Half-Day Dismissal Times:
    • Grades 1–5 dismiss at 11:45 AM.
    • Grades 6–8 dismiss at 11:10 AM.
    • Willow Grove Full- and Half-Day KDG dismiss at 11:45 AM.
    • Willow Grove Structured dismisses at 11:45 AM.
    • Willow Grove EC Blended AM attends 8:45–11:15 AM.
    • Willow Grove EC Blended PM does not attend.
  • January 17:  No School (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
  • January 18:  Board of Education meeting (7 p.m.; Willow Grove ELC)
  • January 19 & 22:  Booster Clinics for 12-15 year olds (Twin Groves; by appointment)

 

Kindergarten Pre-Registration on January 13

Parents of Incoming Kindergartners, be sure you secure our one-of-a-kind Willow Grove T-shirt for your young person!

How, you might ask?

Simple:  Just Pre-register your incoming Kindergartner for the 2022-23 school year before Jan. 31, 2022.  This can be done online ~ through a link that will be shared next week ~ or at an in-person event planned for 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Willow Grove.

Students who are eligible live in the KCSD 96 district and will turn 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2022.

KINDERGARTEN PRE-REGISTRATION DETAILS (In-Person):

  • When:  Thursday, January 13
  • Time:  5 to 7 p.m.
  • Where:  Willow Grove Early Learning Center, 777 Checker Drive, Buffalo Grove
  • Eligible students:  Live within KCSD 96 boundaries and will be 5 years old by Sept. 1, 2022
  • Required Documents:
    • CURRENT monthly mortgage or lease statement or property tax bill AND
    • CURRENT utility bill AND
    • Student’s birth certificate, passport, or visa (photocopy not accepted) AND 
    • Parent or Guardian photo ID (Passport or Driver’s license)
    • RESIDENCY FORM
    • HOME LANGUAGE SURVEY
    • ENROLLMENT FORM
