More than 550 of you shared input for the new Superintendent Leadership Profile, which was shared at Tuesday night’s Board of Education meeting.

In case you missed the meeting and presentation, see the Superintendent Leadership Profile and Community Engagement and New Superintendent Profile Report on the District website.  Be sure to check out the Superintendent’s Message on the report.  Thank you all again!

Reminder:  Tuesday, Oct. 26 (11:59 p.m.) is the deadline for letting us know if you're interested in having your 5- to 11-year-old vaccinated at a pediatric vaccine clinic hosted by District 96 and scheduled for a future date.  We’re asking for this information to share with the health-care providers, who need to know how many parents are interested (in their children receiving the pediatric vaccination), solely for the purpose of determining the need for clinic staffing and supply.

This clinic will be held after-school or on the weekend, at a date to be determined: Parents will bring their child(ren) to be vaccinated.  Once dates have been determined and supplies received, you will receive a message allowing you to schedule an appointment.

Again, the deadline for submitting your Pediatric COVID-19 Interest Vaccination Survey is 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26.

From our schools …

Ivy Hall 4th Graders Discuss Culture

Embracing Culture:  Mrs. Pabst's Ivy Hall 4th graders continue their exploration of culture, learning that food, religion, holidays and celebrations and family lifestyle are as important as physical descriptors in defining culture, and how we are all different from one another.  Students will share an aspect of their culture during class meeting next week. They then moved on to a lesson on literacy, reading about the characteristics of animal dads from all over the world and identifying the main idea and supporting details in the non-fiction passage.

Willow Grove K-graders in PE

Squeals of Delight: If the squeals were any indication, Ms. Wittenberg's Kindergarten Raccoon Class enjoyed their time in PE this afternoon, getting in a great cardio workout while punching pumpkins, kicking ghosts, jumping over black cats and dodging spider webs.
