REMINDER: BUS OPT-OUT DEADLINE

Next week is a short, but full week.

The first item up is the Wednesday, Sept. 8, deadline to submit your survey indicating your plans to opt-out of Bus transportation through January 2022.  The survey is only to be submitted by parents who wish to opt out of using the bus fully until the new year.  We appreciate all the feedback from parents wanting to help with this issue.
 

SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH STARTING

Also next week, families will begin to see postcards in their mailboxes, inviting them to participate in the search for the next Superintendent of Schools and outlining the process.  The Superintendent Search Postcard will also announce the opening of an online Superintendent Search Survey to collect parent input from Sept. 13 to Oct. 8.

PARENT TO PARENT

KCSD 96’s Parent to Parent Network hosts its first event of the school year, an awesome opportunity for parents to “gain strategies that help children strive and succeed”  with best-selling author Katherine Reynolds Lewis.  In the session ~ “Using the 3Cs: Connection, Communication, Capability to Combat Challenging Behaviors” ~ the “Good News About Bad Behavior” author shares with participants from 7 to 8:15 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 29.
