• IN THE KCSD96 SPOTLIGHT: ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS
District 96 congratulates and wishes a bright future to the Stevenson High School Class of 2021 recipients of the Friends & Alumni of KCSD96 $1000 scholarships.

District 96 alumni recipients of the Dr. Thomas W. Many Educational Scholarships are Aditi Singh and Alexander Eisen, for whom education and leadership are an aspiration. Recipients of the Marc E. Spivak Service Scholarships, recognizing students desiring to help others through their leadership, are Holly Aiello and Lucas Hwang. Katherine Wu is the recipient of the Lauren S. Gordon Lifelong Learning Scholarship for her leadership, service to community, and dedication to academics.

• KINDERGARTEN 2021–22 DUAL LANGUAGE PUBLIC LOTTERY
Families of potential Dual Language kindergartners whose students are registered for the 2021–22 school year and who have submitted their child’s Interest Form will be emailed info about virtual access to the Apr. 21 Dual Language Lottery. • PARENTS OF KINDERGARTNERS AND 5TH GRADERS ARE REQUIRED TO RE-PROVE RESIDENCY
Parents of ALL currently enrolled kindergartners and 5th graders whose students will attend a KCSD96 school in the 2021–22 school year must prove their residency again with three specific documents.

Please note that the requirement to re-prove residency for a current kindergartner and 5th grader applies–even for families who have other students currently attending KCSD96 schools.

Parents may re-prove their residency via email.

SEE MORE INFO about required documents and the process to provide them to administrative assistants at Willow Grove Early Learning Center and KCSD96 elementary schools.

• PLEASE DON’T REFUTE THAT CREDIT CARD CHARGE...
After successfully submitting your student’s 2021–22 registration, you will receive an itemized receipt by email promptly that lists the total charge, including required fees and optional donations, if any, that you choose to make. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you select the credit card payment option when paying 2021–22 registration fees, look for either of the following identifying description labels on your credit card statement: POWERSCHOOL MD 512375–4514 or PB POWERSCHOOL. District 96 registration charges are NOT described with the District or school name.

Also, be advised that some banks code this transaction as a donation.

• DENTAL FORM REQUIREMENT REMINDER
Proof of a dental exam is due to school nurses by May 15 for current kindergartners, second graders, and sixth graders. Proof of a dental exam by a licensed dentist given between Nov. 15, 2019, and May 15, 2021, will meet the requirement. See DENTAL FORM

• 2021–22 CLUBHOUSE NEW PARENT MEETING
KCSD96 families seeking before- and after-school student care through the Buffalo Grove Park District Clubhouse program should plan to attend a New Parent Meeting (virtual) on Fri., Apr. 30, at 5:30 PM. SEE ZOOM DETAILS. For more info, contact [email protected]

• STUFF THE SQUAD FOOD PANTRY DRIVE
The Buffalo Grove Police Department invites KCSD96 families to donate food and essentials to support food pantries serving our local residents.  Collection via centrally located boxes in schools will be underway at all KCSD96 schools in the weeks ahead. The last day to donate to Stuff the Squad is May 5. SEE REQUESTED ITEMS

• REGISTER TO RECEIVE THE COVID-19 VACCINE AND INFO
The Lake County Health Department will provide our community with information and announcements about COVID-19 vaccinations. The implementation of Illinois’s vaccination plan has begun.
