Please watch for the KCSD96 District Review, coming to your U.S. postal mailbox this week (the week of Mar. 11). This report to our community features interesting info and stats about School District 96 programs and people and includes comparisons with other high-performing benchmark districts. 


REGISTRATION EMAIL? WHAT REGISTRATION EMAIL?

Please check your e-mailbox for registration email(s) for the 2019-20 school year, sent on March 1. 

Missed the 2019–2020 registration email? Contact the public info coordinator and include student first and last name(s) please.

Each registration email includes a link and a unique “snapcode” needed for access to register your returning student for 2019 - 2020. 

EVERY student returning to District 96 for the 2019–2020 school year must be registered. 

Information you provided previously will appear in your student’s online registration record. Please check that info carefully and update it if it is not accurate. 

Completing and submitting online registration and making payment no later than Apr. 15, 2019, will save families $20 in registration cost per student. Fees increase after Apr. 15, 2019. Registration questions? Call 847.459.4260, ext. 8022.
 

DUAL LANGUAGE IN DISTRICT 96

Are you considering the Spanish/English Dual Language program for your incoming 2019–2020 kindergartner? Be sure to complete and submit the Interest Form to the Willow Grove Early Learning Center office by 3 PM on Mar. 22 in order to be included in the lottery. FIND FORMS/ LEARN MORE
 

PARENT NETWORK CONVERSATION

The Parent Network Conversation originally scheduled for Mon., Mar. 11, has been canceled. 

The next Conversation is an evening opportunity scheduled for Tues., Apr. 16, 6–7:30 p.m., in the Sunset Foods 2nd-floor Community Room. Discussion will focus on the book Wired Child: Reclaiming Children in a Digital Age by Richard Freed. (Contact District 96 Community Parent Liaison Lubna Andrabi to request to borrow a copy, 847.459.4260, ext. 8136.) Reading the book is not a requirement to attend this Conversation–all interested adults are welcome! Learn together and connect with other D96 parents.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE INFO

The Lake County Dept. of Transportation advises that crews are planning to resume work next week (the week of Mar. 4) in Long Grove at the intersection of Old McHenry and Robert Parker Coffin Roads in downtown Long Grove. Watch for daily lane closures and a one-way detour for northbound traffic on Old McHenry Rd south of Robert Parker Coffin Rd. 

This construction is managed by the Lake County Dept. of Transportation and the Village of Long Grove. MORE INFO
