Woodlawn New Families' Coffee Is May 16
Attention, parents of next year’s 6th graders: Please join the Woodlawn PTO at its New Parent Coffee!
This is for all incoming 6th Grade parents and anyone new to Woodlawn for the upcoming 2022-23 school year: Join us Monday, May 16. Arrive at 8:45 a.m., and enjoy coffee with fellow parents to learn more about the fun programs that the PTO supports and funds.
School tours begin at 9 a.m. Make connections with other parents and learn more about opportunities to be involved in your child’s school experience. Please let any friends with incoming 6th graders know about this program. We look forward to meeting you!

Join Our End-of-Year Party on May 19

Come join the Cubs community of students, teachers, and family celebrating the end of the 21-22 school year at our Annual End-of-Year Party!
All are welcome for carnival-style games, crafts, popcorn, cotton candy, Kona ice truck, DJ, and even a dunk tank featuring the principal and assistant principal!!
The event is FREE!
22-23 School Year Committee Openings
Everything that the PTO does is only possible if many of us volunteer. The more people who help, the easier it is for all involved. There are numerous opportunities to help on so many committees. We have lots of experienced leaders whom you can join to learn more about each event and activity. Heather Reardon and Jessica Rhee, with the help of so many families’ donations, supply drop offs, and time spent setting up and decorating, absolutely created a memorable experience for our staff and teachers. Thank you to our Country Meadows Cubs community for sharing in this beautiful week of appreciation!
Field Day Is May 26
Our PTO and Physical Education staff will host our annual Field Day event on May 26, throughout the school day. The PTO will provide a pizza lunch, so the kids don’t have to bring or buy lunch. If your child has any allergies, please be sure to plan to send him or her with a lunch.
The kids will participate in lots of athletic and fun games and obstacles outdoors. Parents are welcome to sign up to volunteer at the event. The more the merrier. No siblings can attend with parent volunteers. 
We also need water bottle cases to be donated for the kids. All the food and snacks are funded by the PTO's fundraising efforts.

Book Fair 'Thank You'
It has been an awesome year for the Book Fair!
The committee members were Lara Simon, Amit Choudhary, Erin Ferguson, Krista Dickinson and Talya Smith. Thank you for your hard work! 
We also had so many volunteers stepping up to help kids shop, as well as to keep everything organized during the event. The spring book fair allows us to not only supply so many books for our Learning Center, but to fundraise to be able to provide such enriching experiences for the kids as Field Day, Science Fair and School Assemblies.
We are proud to say that we fundraised more than $2,000 from this book fair alone!
Science Fair 'Thank You!'
There were at least 50 amazing projects presented by 100-plus students who showcased their scientific efforts at the PTO Science Fair on Wednesday, May 11.
Our PTO committee was led by Maria Rice, Ivette Murphy-Aguilu and Lindley Caldwell. Thank you for your incredible attention to detail in planning this amazing event. Without volunteers like you, our students would not have the enriching experiences such as this!
