- Sept. 13-24: Spirit Wear Sale
- Sept. 24: PTO GENERAL PUBLIC Meeting (Room Parents and Committee Leads encouraged to attend, all others welcome)
It was such a wonderful first day full of hugs and happy eyes! The PTO welcome arch was a hit!
We are looking forward to the year ahead, but we can’t achieve all we have planned without YOU! Please volunteer!
ROOM PARENTS NEEDED
The PTO sponsors three class holiday parties per year. Most of the details and logistics are arranged and funded by the PTO. Room parents coordinate the actual party. There are also two to three additional parent volunteers who help to run the party with the room parents. Tasks include selecting a craft or activity, and possibly a game or two. Snacks are reimbursed by the PTO.
If you have multiple kids and can’t lead all three parties for one of them, please talk to a friend, who will co-room parent with you, and you can alternate parties between other classrooms.
It’s the most fun way to spend time with your child in his or her classroom. Consider joining as a room parent or party volunteer.

SEPTEMBER 17: YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST DEADLINE
This year’s theme is “Life Begins When You Get Back Up.”
The kids read the book "After the Fall" by Dan Santat (read aloud video here), the story of how Humpty Dumpty got up again. Think about what that means to you and get creative! Submissions are due to your teacher or the front office by September 17!
Don’t forget to include your name and grade. All drawings must be vertical.

We are hosting a public PTO General Meeting where you can learn more about what we do. All current volunteers are encouraged to attend. Also, all committee leads should attend. Anyone interested in meeting the current board and asking questions, please join us.

PLANNING COMMITTEE VACANCIES
We still don’t have enough volunteers to continue with all we have planned for this year!
Please make sure you check in to Membership Toolkit and join one of the PTO planning committees.
There are lots of vacancies and we don’t want to have to cancel events and activities if we are short volunteers. Sadly, prior years and other district schools have had to cancel opportunities for our kids due to low family involvement. Please get involved, and help the kids and school staff have a more enriching educational experience.
