It's so exciting what we have in store within the next few weeks for both remote and in-person students! URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED!
The PTO has an opportunity to sponsor a virtual STEM event for our students, but we need your interest feedback survey response ASAP! Please respond before Sun., Jan. 31, 2021!
Code Ninjas of Long Grove will collaborate with our PTO to host this unique virtual enrichment activity.
In order to assess the interest, we need parents to complete and submit this brief SURVEY.
The sessions will be divided by grade groups and will be held on different evenings.
Please note there will be only one session per student. There is a maximum capacity due to the recommended instructor:student ratio.
VIRTUAL CULTURAL ARTS ASSEMBLY COMING SOON!
Our Cultural Arts Committee is been hard at work planning virtual assemblies for our students. We have the honor to have the incredible Brent Daniels hosting our Music Technology Careers in Cinema and the Arts, coming up on Feb. 24!
This is like nothing anyone has ever seen! Brent Daniels is an award-winning composer, producer, sound designer, and recording artist who uses the latest in music technology to sculpt sound and create music. This program is an excellent STEM/STEAM school assembly!
Using a digital sampling keyboard workstation, master-level musicianship, and a blend of high-energy music, audience participation, information, and humor, Brent Daniels creates an exciting one-of-a-kind performance that captures the imaginations of our students! Music Technology with Brent Daniels shows students the important relationship between the technology they have in their classrooms or at home and the creation of the music and sounds they hear on their iPads and on TV, in movies, and in video games.
Student volunteers will participate in the program to help Brent create unique on-the-spot sounds and–by the end of the show–an original song that will raise the roof!

A NEW KIND OF SCIENCE FAIR WILL BE HERE SOONER THAN YOU THINK!
Our virtual hands-on science event is scheduled for Thurs., Mar. 4, 2021!
We are proud to present the third annual Country Meadows Science Fair virtually! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to hold our traditional fair, but we are excited to provide students an opportunity to learn about science. Please register below. We will send an email link to access the event.
Families will be required to pick up their student's science kit prior to the event.

MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT CREDITS AND DONATIONS
Refunds for PTO events and programs canceled due to mandated school closures for the 2019-20 school year were processed at the end of the previous school year in the form of an account credit on your Country Meadows PTO Membership Toolkit parent account.
To check your account credit balance, please log into your Country Meadows PTO MEMBERSHIP TOOLKIT. Once logged in, you will find your credit balance shown on the homepage when you scroll down slightly. By Feb. 15, 2021, please make sure you verify if you have a credit.
You can use your Country Meadows accoutn credit in one of two ways:
1. Donate your credit balance to the Country Meadows PTO: CLICK HERE
(If navigating from the homepage instead of the link above, use the purchase form under "available items to purchase" right below where your credit balance is stated.)
**This money will be allocated to special PTO-sponsored events such as Staff Appreciation, Family/Educator Conference Meals, classroom parties, etc.**
2. Receive a refund by check: CLICK HERE
Please choose an option by Feb. 15, 2021. If no option is selected, you will receive a refund check.
Please note: Not all KCSD96 School PTOs are offering the same options for using/receiving your account credit.
