IN OUR SCHOOLS

What A Hair and Hat Day:  It was quite spirited around Kildeer Countryside Elementary School today, where students and staff celebrated Fun Hair and Hat Day ~ cupcake ponytails, colored grease paint, Dr. Seuss hats … and were those gravity-defying Pippi Longstocking braids?

Speaking of Hats: This week, Prairie second-graders wrapped up their science experiment using simple items to design a hat that would protect them from the hot sun and absorb perspiration.

Here’s a look at the “hats” made in Mrs. Pawlow’s class.

Stevenson Simplified:  Thanks to the District 96 alum ~ Ben, Romy, Delaney and Kate ~ now Stevenson High School seniors, who participated in Thursday night’s “Simplifying Sevenson” panel discussion.

The four are all members of SHS’s Freshman Mentor Program (FMP).      Simplifying Stevenson 2024

The panelists answered questions about homework, electives, AP courses, lunch, tutoring, clubs, career planning and shared many helpful tips including a website created by Stevenson students for students.

The event’s Q&A was guided by Dr. Ted Goergen, Director of Student Activities at Stevenson.
