IN OUR SCHOOLS

Shake It Off:  This week, Taylor Swift was the featured musician in Mr. Tatar’s Music class, where students listened to some of her music and learned (more) about her.  Then out came the ukulele, with Mr. Tatar teaching students a new chord, telling students that by learning just one more chord (which will be learned after Winter Break), they will know the chords to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.”

Kildeer Music Class Ukulele December 2023

They’ve Got This:  Kildeer’s Buddy Classrooms met this week, enjoying community-building fun; one activity involved four students each holding onto a string connected to a marker and trying to draw a snowman. Here, students from Mrs. Satoh’s fourth-grade class and Mrs. Lushpynskyj’s second-grade class try to create a snowman.  More challenging than you’d imagine!
