IN OUR SCHOOLS
A Fist Bump Kind of Friday: This morning, a handful of Ivy Hall and Prairie elementary school teachers surprised their former students with fist bumps, hugs and even a few happy tears at Twin Groves’ “Fist Bump Friday.” This is a biweekly school-arrival event to promote a sense of relationship and community among the students and staff at Twin Groves. Two weeks ago, Twin Groves students were welcomed to school by officers from the Buffalo Grove Police Department.
Definitely for the Birds: Country Meadows’ 2nd graders concluded their science unit on plants and animals by creating bird feeders designed to attract different types of birds.
