What a great long week: Musical concerts and a musical involving dozens, if not hundreds of District 96 students, attracted parents and families!  It’s the start of our musical concert season, just in time for the upcoming holidays, which start later on this month.

They’re tasked with directing the District now, with a long vision for the future, while overseeing facilities and planning for future needs, and being mindful to invest in good people who invest in good people.

Collectively, they have 70 years of experience on the Board of Education and have or are shepherding more than a dozen children through Kildeer Countryside School District 96 schools.  They’re among the best, having achieved Distinguished recognition for their hard work.

They lead the charge in being invested in ‘every child, every school, every day.’ … They’re the District 96 Board of Education and next Wednesday ~ November 15 ~ we salute them for their dedicated service to the children and families in this school community!                     School Board Members Day: November 15, 2023

Trimester 1 report cards will be issued online after 3 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, for students in Early Childhood through 8th Grade.

More Music!  This past week also saw Woodlawn Band Concert, featuring sixth-, seventh- and eighth-grade Woodlawn Middle Schoolband student-musicians.  The band is under the direction of Mr. Chad Craw.

Beautiful Sound of Music:  Woodlawn presented its Woodlawn School Musical "The Sound of Music: Youth Edition” ~ featuring students from Country Meadows, Kildeer and Woodlawn.  The play is directed by Woodlawn music teacher Mrs Wesbecher and science/social studies teacher Mrs. Warkenthien and Country Meadows music teacher Mrs. Murray.

The final show begins at 7 p.m. tonight (Friday, November 10, 2023).
