Be Mindful of Motorist-School Bus Safety

Next week, the goldenrod yellow school buses dot the roadways, picking up and dropping off precious cargo.  This is a reminder to be on the lookout for school buses, children getting on and getting off and those walking or riding bicycles and others sharing the road.

As a reminder:

  • Stop for school buses displaying flashing red lights and an extended stop arm.
  • Do not pass a school bus on the right.
  • All school buses must stop at railroad crossings.

Also, be sure to read your Principal’s Message to note safe, proper drop-off and pick-ups at your child’s school.

NEW

IN THE SCHOOLS

This past week, the District’s new teachers spent the week learning about the district and their respective schools, meeting with and working with mentors; taking tours to the schools; and learning about teaching and learning in D96 and other items.

They are so ready to meet you …
