District 96 Families:

In this week’s E-News 96, we share information about the 2-1-1 information and referral resource line operated by United Way of Lake County.  Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the multitude of services 211 has to offer ~ in dozens of languages.

We continue to focus on the activities and learning ahead of us before we part for Winter Break (which runs December 23, 2022, to January 6, 2023).

Here’s what happening next week:
 

Coming Up

  • December 12:  Twin Groves Band Winter Concert, 7 p.m.
  • December 13:  Early Release Day
    • Early Release Dismissal Times
    • Grades 1-5 dismiss at 2:05 p.m.
    • Grades 6-8 dismiss at 1:30 p.m.
    • Kindergarten dismisses at 2:05 p.m.
    • Structured: 8:30 a.m. to 2:05 p.m.
    • Blended AM: 8:30 to 10 a.m.
    • Blended PM: 12:35 to 2:05 p.m.
  • December 13:  Board of Education meeting, 7 p.m. (Ivy Hall Elementary School, Mat Room)
  • December 15:  Band Concert @ Twin Groves, 7 p.m.
  • December 15:  Woodlawn Chorus Winter Concert, 7 p.m. (at Woodlawn Middle School)
  • December 23 - January 6:  Winter Break (school closed)
  • January 9, 2023:  School resumes

According to the 211 website, “211 is always open, always confidential, and always free. Speak to a live person when you call in English or Spanish.”

The 211 team also offers interpretations for more than 150 other languages.
