District 96 Families:

Are you feeling the fall in the air yet?

The temperatures are slowly dropping, signaling the time for some fall programming.  Around the corner are our Fall Family/Educator Conferences ~ October 6 and 7 ~ so be sure you are signed up for a time slot with your child’s teacher.

Coming Up

  • September 26:  No School (District Holiday)
  • September 28:  "Family Tech Talk" (7 p.m., Ivy Hall, Mat Room) with D96 Tech Director Lucas Cowden and D96 Resource Officer Essig
  • October:  National Principals Month
  • October 2 (11:55 p.m.):  Deadline to sign up for Family/Parent Conferences (Oct. 6 & 7)
  • October 5-7:  No School for Students
  • October 10:  No School
  • October 15:  Vision forms due (for 2022-23 students who entered kindergarten OR are new to Illinois in Grades 1–8, who have not yet turned in forms)

On Monday, families were emailed links to sign up for our Fall Family Educator Conferences, scheduled for Thursday, October 6 (5 to 8:30 p.m.) and Friday, October 7 (10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).       Meet The Teacher signup form

Please use the link emailed to you to sign up for a conference time: (https://kildeerdistrict96.meettheteacher.com).

The sign-up closes at 11:55 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022.  After that, you must contact the building administrative assistant at the school.

 

 

 

 

Coming Up Wednesday:  “Family Tech Talk”

Reminder: This Wednesday, plan to join the “Family Tech Talk” session with D96 Technology Director Lucas Cowden and D96 Resource Officer Essig.                          Family Tech Talk: September 28, 2022

During this discussion, you will learn more about the District’s technology offerings and how to keep your child and family safe on the internet.  

This in-person event begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, in the Mat Room at Ivy Hall Elementary School, 1072 Ivy Hall Lane in Buffalo Grove.

 

 

 

 

All Exec Board Meets In-Person

For the first time in three years, leadership of the District’s PTO groups ~ the D96 PTO All Executives Board ~ met with D96 staff for an orientation.

From Our Schools …

At Woodlawn Middle School on Thursday, Mrs. Aussem led her Language Arts students in discussing aspects of the character Mighty Monk from the story “Priscilla and the Wimps.”

Also at Woodlawn this week, students in The Art and Science Of Living (TASOL class) ~ made chips and salsa in class under the direction of teacher Mrs. Pink.
