The last day of school is June 2, a half-day.

District 96 Families:

This week, the district received some final PTO blogs from some of our bloggers, reminding us that indeed, this is our last communications of the school year!  Wow ~ where did the time go?

You and your family are no doubt looking forward to a break from the routine of school.  We hope you find the time to unwind, connect with each other and connect with the best of the beautiful great outdoors around you.

It’s been my pleasure to connect with you this school year!  See you in August!

  • May 30:  No School / District Holiday (Labor Day)
  • May 31:  8th Grade Graduation (Stevenson High School)
    • 5:30 p.m. ~ Twin Groves Middle School
    • 8 p.m. ~ Woodlawn Middle School
  • June 2:  Last Day of School (half day)
  • Aug. 18:  School starts (half day)

 

Refund of 8th Graders’ Positive Lunch Account Balances

Positive lunch account balances for graduating 8th graders of $5 or more will automatically be refunded at the conclusion of the school year. Parents wishing to transfer remaining balances to siblings still in D96 on the K12PaymentCenter.com should do so by Friday, June 3.  Refund checks will be mailed by District Business Office staff Wednesday, June 15, to the home address on record.

In Our Schools ….. 

Last Saturday, girls, coaches and their families from Country Meadows, Ivy Hall, Kildeer and Prairie schools pelted the pavement at the Country Meadows-Woodlawn campus, making six laps for the Girls On the Run event

Kudos to the girls,their families and coaches:

Before the school year ended, Ivy Hall school students used token coins to buy books from the Book Vending machine named in honor of Principal Bob Hanrahan.  The book vending machine was donated by the school’s PTO.
