Across the district, students, staff and parents are presenting final concerts and projects and preparing to close down another school year.  We have two more weeks to enjoy each other and do all the things we need to do before the close of the 2021-22 school year!

  • May 23:  Beginning Band Information Meeting
    • 6:30 p.m.:  Woodlawn (for CM / K families)
    • 7:00 p.m.:  Twin Groves (for IH / P / TG families)
  • May 25:  Beginning Band Registration Night (4:30-7:30 p.m., Woodlawn)
  • May 26:  Beginning Orchestra Parent Information Night for IH/P/K/CM 3rd Grade families (7 p.m. Twin Groves)
  • May 27:  Half-Day
    • Half-Day Dismissal Times are:
    • Grades 1–5 dismiss at 11:45 a.m.
    • Grades 6–8 dismiss at 11:10 a.m.
    • Willow Grove Full- and Half-Day KDG dismiss at 11:45 a.m.
    • Willow Grove Structured dismisses at 11:45 a.m.
    • Willow Grove EC Blended AM attends 8:45–11:15 a.m.
    • Willow Grove EC Blended PM does not attend.
  • May 30:  No School / District Holiday (Memorial Day)
  • May 31:  8th Grade Graduation (Stevenson High School)
    • 5:30 p.m. ~ Twin Groves Middle School
    • 8 p.m. ~ Woodlawn Middle School
  • June 2:  Last Day of School

 

Band info

Attention 4th grade Kildeer and Country Meadows parents: The time has finally arrived when your child can consider joining next year's 5th grade band! A meeting for interested 4th grade parents will be held at 6:30 pm on Monday, May 23, in the Woodlawn band room. Band registration and instrument rental night is in the Woodlawn cafe any time between 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25.

TEP Hosts SHS Principal Discussing High School

On Wednesday night, district parents listened as Mr. Troy Gobble, principal at Stevenson High School, shared how students and parents can best prepare for a successful time in high school.  Those on the virtual call were also able to ask Mr. Gobble various questions.

In Our Schools

Speaking of bands and music, this week District 96 families were treated to wonderful music from student-musicians in concerts at Twin Groves and at Woodlawn.  Directing the concerts were Mr. Nagle (Twin Groves) and Mr. Craw (Woodlawn).
