Save the Date: Kindergarten Pre-Registration on Jan. 13

Willow Grove is preparing to welcome its incoming Kindergartners during a special Pre-Registration set for Thursday, January 13, 2022.

From 5 to 7 p.m. January 13, parents/guardians can come to the school to pre-register their incoming Kindergartners for the 2022-23 school year.  This Kindergarten pre-registration is open to students who live within District boundaries who will be 5 years old by Sept. 1.  (Parents may also register their incoming Kindergartner online; a link will be shared later.)

To this Pre-Registration, parents are asked to bring proof of their identity; proof of their child’s birth; proof of District residency; and a current utility bill.  District staff will scan these documents and return the originals to the parents; photocopies will not be accepted.

Parents/guardians will be able to use district computers to pre-register their student (assistance will be available). Incoming Kindergartners who are pre-registered on this date will receive a special Willow Grove Kindergarten T-shirt. (The T-shirts are only available during this pre-registration period.)

Stay tuned for more details.

Is Your Child Absent from School?

REMINDER:  Families, if you need to report your child as absent or late to school, please alert the Administrative Assistant at your child’s school.  This is the person responsible for noting and recording changes in your child’s attendance.  Misdirected calls or emails made/sent to others can result in delays in your child’s school receiving this critical information on absence, attendance or changes in arrival / departure.

From Our Schools

Congratulations, Little Author!

This week, Ivy Hall Principal Mr. Hanrahan accepted the first children’s book from one of his former students, whose pen name is Maria West.  Her book, “Marked: The Coral Key,” is about a dolphin with special powers. The middle schooler’s book will soon be available for purchase on Amazon.

Stay tuned, as she plans to write additional books about this dolphin and other animals!
