PARENT LEARNING OPPORTUNITY OCT. 20: Parenting in a Pandemic
Expert guest speaker/author Dr. Devorah Heitner will present a virtual program Tues., Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. with the latest info and helpful strategies for those parenting in a pandemic. Dr. Heitner (Ph.D., media/technology and society, Northwestern University) is a popular returning workshop presenter for the District 96 Parent-to-Parent Network and has helped hundreds of KCSD96 parents understand how to tap technology benefits and set boundaries to help their children thrive. REMINDER: ANNUAL SELF-CERTIFICATION FORM SUBMISSION REQUIREMENT 
If your student will be participating in hybrid in-person learning beginning either this month or early in November, you will first need to submit the Annual Student COVID-19 Self-Certification and Verification Form before your student can participate. Reminder emails were sent this week on Oct. 13 and Oct. 16. (Subject Line: Fr Sch Dist 96 re Submit Required In-Person Form)

MEALS AVAILABLE FOR DRIVE-UP PICK-UP WEEKDAYS
KCSD96 families may pick up free breakfasts/lunches for their students weekdays 11 AM–1 PM when school is in session. Drive-up meal pick-up is in front of the Exceptional Learners Collaborative (ELC) building, 990 Corporate Woods Parkway, Vernon Hills. Please pull up to the sign in front of the ELC building and remain in your vehicle. Children do not have to accompany parents to receive meals. Meals may be delivered to homes upon request.
