ENTERING/EXITING DISTRICT 96 SCHOOL BUILDINGS
If you haven’t yet had your driver’s license scanned in any District 96 school previously, this is a reminder that you’ll need to do so if you plan to be in the building during the hours when school is in session. (If your license was scanned previously in a KCSD96 school, that scan will carry over in the system if your child has since moved to a different District 96 school.)

Consistent with our strong commitment to our students’ and staff’s safety, the District requires that all visitors’ driver’s licenses be scanned by office staff upon their first in-session school visit to a District 96 school.

If possible, visit the school office to have your driver’s license scanned before the date you’ll be volunteering–especially if that date will be Oct. 31, when many parents volunteer and license scanning lines may be long.

Once your license has been scanned, you’ll receive a printed adhesive badge. Please wear it where it will be visible to students and staff–not covered by a coat, for example.

When exiting the building, do so ONLY through the main office doors by which you entered originally. Also, please be sure before leaving to sign out electronically as directed by office staff, so there is an accurate count of building occupants at all times.

EMPATHY–A KEY TO YOUR CHILD’S SUCCESS
