EMPATHY–A KEY TO YOUR CHILD’S SUCCESS
The District 96 Parent Network–in collaboration with other organizations including School Districts 102, 103, and the Vernon Area Public Library in Lincolnshire–will host internationally recognized best-selling author/speaker Dr. Michele Borba on Thurs., Oct. 17, at the Vernon Area Public Library, 300 Olde Half Day Rd., Lincolnshire, 9:30–11 a.m. All interested adults are welcome to this free program. 

Dr. Borba, an authority on parenting and understanding/coping with bullying, will discuss her newest book: UnSelfie: Why Empathic Kids Succeed in Our All-About-Me-World.

Why is empathy key to your child’s success? How can you cultivate empathy in your child?

Are you the parent of a teen?
Dr. Michele Borba will also speak at Stevenson High School, One Stevenson Dr., Lincolnshire, on Thurs., Oct. 17, 7–9 p.m. This talk is focused for parents of students in grades 6–12. Understand the importance of empathy for a teen’s mental health, resilience, and leadership skills. All interested adults are welcome to this free program.

Note: All 2019–20 KCSD96 students are not included in this directory. Families choose when registering their children annually whether they want their info included in the current school year directory.

Download the app one time for all of organizations that you are affiliated with that are using Membership Toolkit. When you log into the app, you will see each of the organizations represented and you can toggle between organizations.
