CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR CALENDAR REVIEW
• Fri., May 24, 2019 – For 8th graders only, the last day of school, a half day 
(Dismissal at 11:10 a.m.)

• Tues., June 4, 2019 – For Willow Grove students (except Blended PM*) and Grades 1–7, the last day of school, a half day–assuming no more Emergency Days are needed
(Dismissal for Willow Grove full- and half-day KDG and SLC students and Blended AM students and Grades 1–5 will be at 11:45 a.m. Dismissal for Grades 6 and 7 will be at 11:10 a.m. )
* The last day of school for Blended PM students ONLY is Mon. June 3, assuming no more Emergency Days are needed.


DO YOU HAVE A KINDERGARTNER ATTENDING WILLOW GROVE IN 2019–2020?
Families who have registered a kindergartner for the 2019–2020 school year should check for an important email sent on May 1. This communication includes multiple requests for information from parents/guardians concerning their student as well as instructions to schedule their child’s Kindergarten Kick-Off appointment. MAKE DOCTORS’ APPOINTMENTS NOW 
All students entering Grade 6 have health form requirements that must be met before they will receive their schedules and their locker assignments. The CERTIFICATE OF CHILD HEALTH EXAMINATION/IMMUNIZATION FORM  (signed by the physician) is due to Twin Groves or Woodlawn Middle School no later than Fri., Aug. 2. Students participating in sports also will need to provide the MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS PHYSICAL FORM.
Other required health forms include DENTAL (due by May 15, 2020).  


SAFETY REMINDER TO DRIVERS: MOVE OVER
The Illinois State Board of Education joins other Illinois organizations in reminding drivers of Scott’s Law: The “Move Over” Law. Upon approaching any stationary vehicle with flashing emergency lights–including commercial cars and trucks–all approaching vehicles shall reduce speed AND change lanes if possible AND proceed with caution.
