SIMPLIFYING STEVENSON FOR PARENTS OF CURRENT 8TH GRADERS

Rescheduled date: Thurs., Feb. 21, 7–8:30 PM
Twin Groves Middle School Learning Center, 2600 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., BG
Severe winter weather has created the need to reschedule many events and choose the best possible date option remaining in a crowded calendar. We regret that some families will have scheduling conflicts for this event’s rescheduled date. If you have a question about this program, please contact District 96 Community Parent Liaison Lubna Andrabi, 847.459.4260, ext. 8136.

Parents of current 8th graders whose students will attend Stevenson High School are invited to this popular Q&A featuring panelists who are current Stevenson High School seniors and freshmen. This is an evening for parents to ask questions and hear from SHS students (District 96 alumni) how they made the transition to high school, manage their time, choose extracurriculars, balance their workload, and more. Principal Troy Gobble will also share info and answer questions.

COMING IN MARCH–REGISTRATION EMAILS FOR ALL RETURNING AND PREREGISTERED STUDENTS

Please plan to check your e-mail in March for registration email(s) for the 2019-20 school year. More details coming in E-NEWS 96 on Feb. 22.

Each registration email (one per D96 student) will include a link and a unique “snapcode” needed for access to register your returning student for 2019 - 2020.

Information you provided previously will appear in your student’s online registration record. Please check that info carefully and update it if it is not accurate.

Completing and submitting online registration and making payment no later than Apr. 15, 2019, will save families $20 in registration cost per student. Fees increase after Apr. 15, 2019. Registration questions? Contact the public info coordinator 847.459.4260, ext. 8022.

WAIT!! – DO I NEED TO PROVE RESIDENCY AGAIN?

If your student is a kindergartner or a 5th grader this year, the answer is YES.

If you don’t prove residency again for your current KDG or 5th-grade student, you will not receive the registration email/code for him or her until you do so. Questions? Call the administrative assistant at the school your student attends now. SCHOOL CONTACT INFO

How to prove residency:
At Willow Grove or at the elementary school your student attends now, please visit the office and present the following:
• a current monthly mortgage OR lease statement OR property tax bill
AND
• a current utility bill
At the school, the administrative assistant will also provide a form for you to sign.
