LET’S TALK ABOUT IT

Parent Network Conversation: Mon., Nov. 12, at 9:30–11 a.m.
Sunset Foods Conference Room, on 2nd floor in Long Grove store

Add your voice to this KCSD96 Parent Conversation! All interested parents are welcome.

The topic for discussion will be Online Safety.

As parents, we’re all concerned about our children’s safety and well-being. Easy accessibility to social media platforms makes it hard to protect our kids’ online security. Parents will talk about what they do to safeguard their kids and learn about apps and websites they need to be cautious about. Tech-savvy KCSD96 parents’ advice for those less acquainted with social media will be welcomed. Please contact KCSD96 Community Parent Liaison Lubna Andrabi with questions, 847.459.4260, ext. 8136.

AN INVITATION TO NEW FAMILIES IN OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY

Has your family recently moved to the United States, or are you and your student(s) new to this area?

On Tues., Nov. 27, at 6:30 p.m. in the Twin Groves Middle School Learning Center, parents of recently registered students in Kindergarten – Grade 8 are invited to a District-Wide New Parent Coffee and Conversation. This is an opportunity to ask questions about the school district and to meet other parents, including those who share the experience (recently or years ago) of relocating their families and navigating new and different social customs and educational practices.

If you missed the Newcomer Night on Aug. 8, we encourage you to attend. Likewise, we also welcome you to be a part of the conversation if you did attend on Aug. 8. Hearing your insight and discussing experiences since the start of the school year will help inform us about how we can best support new families.

Coffee and light refreshments will be served.

Please direct questions to KCSD96 Community Parent Liaison Lubna Andrabi, 847.459.4260, ext. 8136.
