WHEN WILL THERE BE ACCESS TO THE STUDENT FAMILY DIRECTORY ONLINE?
Late this month, all District 96 parents will receive an email from online directory vendor My School Anywhere with information about how to log in with their temporary password. Instructions about setting a password, searching the directory, and downloading the mobile app will be included in that email. Note that access to this District 96 2018–19 Student Family Directory is limited only to District 96 parents. NO link will be posted to give public access to 2018-19 student directory information.

We anticipate sending the My School Anywhere directory access emails on or around Aug. 31.

In the meantime, families who were included in the previous school year’s online directory still have access. Find the Student Family Directory link in the drop-down “Directory” menu located at the top of District and school home pages.

LOTS TO LEARN ABOUT OUR WEBSITE
One question we’ve heard you’re asking: What’s a Virtual Backpack?
The District 96 district and school websites each have one–a place where links to flyers for community events and to school forms such as reading calendars or school event permission forms are listed.

A link to the Virtual Backpack on the District website is included weekly under COMMUNITY NEWS at the end of every E-NEWS 96 issue. Be sure to click each week to see what’s listed–links are updated frequently. In the District VIRTUAL BACKPACK, you’ll also find links to your student’s school Virtual Backpack – a convenient way to jump from one virtual backpack to another.

STAY TUNED AND ASK QUESTIONS
The process of updating our District and school websites and calendars is underway and will continue in the days and weeks ahead. Also, after-school clubs and other back-to-school info and parent opportunities will be added when it becomes known.

Please plan to check back periodically throughout the month and be sure to read Principal Messages and E-NEWS 96 consistently throughout the school year. If you have questions, please contact the administrative assistant at the school your student attends or the District 96 public information coordinator.
