Meet the Teacher:
Grades 1–5 at 8:30–9:30 a.m. at elementary schools
Kindergarten, Early Childhood Blended AM, & Structured: 10–11 a.m. at Willow Grove
Early Childhood Blended PM: 11:30–12:30 p.m. at Willow Grove

Locker Set-Up Day:

Grades 6–8: 4–7 p.m. at Twin Groves and Woodlawn Middle Schools

Wed., Aug. 15:
EARLY RELEASE DAY
First day of school for all District 96 students

Full-day kindergarten and Grades 1–5 dismiss at 2 p.m.
Grades 6–8 dismiss at 1:30 p.m.
Willow Grove Early Childhood Blended AM students attend 8:45–10:45 a.m.
Willow Grove Early Childhood Blended PM students attend Noon–2:00 p.m.

Thurs., Aug. 16:
Early Childhood Screening for Scheduled Appointments

PLAN AHEAD FOR CURRICULUM NIGHTS FOR PARENTS
Curriculum Nights are an important opportunity for parents to meet teachers and administrators, see their child’s classroom and school, learn about the curriculum KCSD96 students will experience, and get info about communicating with staff. The date and times for Curriculum Nights vary by school and grade levels. 2018 CURRICULUM NIGHTS

PTO FAIRS
PTO Fairs will be ongoing at schools during Meet-the-Teacher and Locker Set-up Day. Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) are KCSD96 parents volunteering their time and talent. PTOs plan school community events that families enjoy and raise funds for “extras,” such as cultural arts programs to enhance curriculum. Please create or update your Membership Toolkit account at each District 96 school at which you have a child attending. Use this convenient account to purchase/donate/make payment–and to volunteer.
